Dinner Plate Aralia a perennial succulent which grows in almost all the soil. It is a plant that can be grown indoors and it can be transformed into bonsai. It does not produce flowers and so propagation is done by stem cutting. It is a decorative plant with large leaves that looks like a dinner plate and hence named dinner plate aralia.
It is a low maintenance and fast growing plant which grows well in peat-based well-aerated soil. Since it is a home growing plant, the plant meets with normal watering conditions. This plant needs nitrogen fertilizer to grow into a beautiful plant. Liquid nitrogen fertilizer will show better results. This plant is poisonous in nature and make sure to handle it well. Wash your hands once a while when touching this plant. This plant attracts lots of insects such as mealybugs, scale, spiders, mites and aphids. Mix biodegradable soap with water and spray on the plant to avoid the insects. If needed use pesticides.
