The Flame vine is a common plant of Florida which grows with virtually no care but dazzles its surrounding with bright orange flowers. The Flame vine requires minimum care but certainly lives up to its name as far as its appearance is concerned.
These plants do not need a lot of maintenance. All it needs is a good spot with lots of light and it takes care of itself once it is established. The Flame vines are rampant growers and might prove to be a nuisance to other plants if not properly pruned and trained. These plants need a support to grow. They also are pest-free, therefore the only care they need is regular pruning.
The Flame vines grow well under full sunlight or partial shade. The optimum temperature for growth is 25 degrees Celsius.
These plants are drought resistant. Therefore they don't need too much water. They should be watered only when the soil is dry. During the hot and dry months, watering once in 2-3 days is enough.
The Flame vines grow well in well-drained soil. However, sandy soil is ideal for its growth.
The plant grows 30-40 ft in height. The leaves are 4 inches in length.
