Watering and Lighting are the basic necessities of the plant and after the early growing stage, they do not need a lot of care.
It can be grown on any type of soil but during propagation, it needs garden soil to grow well.
After the early stage, it can be planted in any soil and less care can be taken when its root network is formed.
Water the plant daily during the early stage and don't leave the soil dry as it may kill the plant.
During summer it needs water every week and during winter lower it to two weeks or less.

The flowers are red and hence the nickname "Flame of the Forest". The flowers can grow up to a size of five inches.
There is no need for fertilizers for the growth of the plant as it is a fast grower and for a fact it grows five feet a year.
It is solely our choice of using fertilizers on the plant but while using choose the one with rich nitrogen content for boosting the growth.
The size of the tree is that it will grow above fifteen meters and spread up to fifteen meters.
By proper pruning, it can be maintained at a less height and spread.
Be careful about the branches that fall when planted in windy areas and often the fruits fall off the tree which are feet long.
Some species of the caterpillars may chew the leaves but that should not defoliate the entire tree. One can use pesticides if caterpillars are a problem.
