The Ixora dwarf is also known as the west Indian Jasmine and the flame of the jungle. It is a genus of flowering plant. They belongs to the Rubiaceae family. Because of their shrub-like and compact appearance, they are a great low hedging plants .It blooms in shade of pink, orange, and yellow.

Basic care:

Ixora plants fit into any size landscape but is a dependable bloomer. It is a sun-loving plant. It bloom during the summer season and are a suitable choice for bonsai. Keep the soil moist but not too muddy.

Watering:

The Ixora plant should be watered regularly but it shouldn't be done excessively. Too much moisture in the soil can cause its root to rot. Reduce watering during winter or cold climates, but still keep the water moist.

Soil:

A must thing about the Ixora plant is that it should be planted in an acidic soil otherwise it could lead to yellow foliage. These plants mostly grow better in a rich, moist soil.

Lighting:

The plant is much better to be grown under bright sunlight, during summer time avoid direct sunlight.

Flowering:

A temperature of minimum 60F is preferred during all climates. Very high humidity is required for its growth.

You may do the cuttings during the spring season, rotting Ixora is found to be difficult, the use of rooting hormone could make it easier to root.
